Product Info:
Dining table and bench constructed from scaffolding boards and mounted onto steel tube legs.
The tabletops are sanded, to a beautiful finish - smooth to the touch, but still showing plenty of the character and grain in the wood. They are then treated in a Wax Oil which hardens to a water resistant, wipeable finish.
Every board will have its own quirks and an individual grain, so no two pieces are ever identical. We use only high quality boards and our tables are solid, sturdy and well built.
Available in various sizes.
The steelwork frame is constructed from ‘blackened’ steel is an almost-black, gunmetal finish. (The legs are detachable).
Assembly:
Some minor assembly is required with this item. The steel pipe framework will be sent partially disassembled (for ease of transportation) but they assemble together very simply by slotting into fixing plates on the underside of the desk and tightening with an Allen bolt. (Allen key provided).
We fit the metal end bands on the outer edges of the table and benches as standard, but please let us know if you'd prefer not to have them.
Wood finish:
The main images show the Golden finish but also available in Pale, Antique or Rustic finish (please see final image).

Finished in Hard Wax Oil. A hardwearing stain-resistant, water-resistant finish. This product gives the tabletops a light sheen, and brings out the character of the boards.
Scaffold boards:
Scaffold boards are not originally designed to be used in furniture making. But we happen to believe they make beautiful tables, desk, bookcases and cabinets.
It is normal for them some boards to have minor notches, dents, small cracks and general signs of life. The grain and knots can vary from board to board. All of which add to the character of the overall pieces.
We machine sand the boards to a beautifully smooth finish, and they’re treated with a high quality hard wax oil which brings out all of their stunning, quirky character.

The benches are 20cm shorter than the table and can be slotted neatly between the table legs when not in use.

Please allow around 4-5 weeks from order date for construction & delivery.

Handmade in the UK
We were initially based in our garage at home, and in the early days the focus was on sourcing and restoring pieces of vintage and retro furniture. We've since moved a couple of times to larger premises, but we continually try to maintain the family feel!
