Description
Dining table and optional benches constructed from premium grade solid wooden boards, and mounted onto steel hairpin legs.
The tabletops are carefully sanded, varnished and waxed to a beautiful finish, which is durable against the pressures of everyday use, while still retaining character and charm.
Every board will have its own quirks and signs of life, as well as an individual grain, so no two pieces are ever identical.
Our tables are solid, sturdy and well built.
The table can either be purchased on its own, or with one bench, or with two benches.
Available with steel finish, white or matt black legs.

Bench depth 36cm
If you require the benches to be made to shorter to fit under the table, please let us know. We will make the bench 30cm shorter to tuck under the table when not in use.

WOOD FINISHES:
Main images show the Antique finish but also available in Pale, Golden or Rustic finish. (And other options are available on request, so please just ask).
TIMBER:
Our pieces are made from industrial timber, but are designed to be fully functional as desktops, tables etc with smooth and level surfaces. Due to the repurposed nature of the boards we use, we do have to allow for slight tolerances of a mm or two, and there can occasionally be minor kinks or bends in areas of the boards, but nothing that would compromise the stability or functionality of the items we produce.
It is normal for some boards to have notches, dents, cracks and general signs of life. The grain and knots can vary from board to board. All of which add to the character of the overall pieces.
We machine sand the boards to a beautifully smooth finish, and they’re treated with a high quality hard wax oil which brings out all of their stunning, quirky character.
ASSEMBLY:
We dispatch the tables/benches with the legs detached for ease of transportation and delivery. The legs will arrive complete with screws. They can then be fitted onto the tabletop and benchtop using the pre-drilled holes.
DELIVERY:
As these items are made to order, please allow 4-5 weeks from order date for construction & delivery.
The majority of our orders are delivered on our own transport by our own delivery team. We will keep you updated on the progress of the order and will advise of the shipping date once your item is ready. You will be given a delivery date and an approx timeslot. Please let us know a contact number for delivery.

I bought the table and 1 bench in the pale finish. It's as described although I was expecting more of a varnished finish which it isn't. This isn't an issue though and it's perfect for what and where I needed. The seller answered all my questions quickly. I asked for the bench to be shortened so it could be put under the table. Overall I'm very happy with it. Pictures show it on its own and with other items.

Wow, purchased a custom size dining table, with hairpin legs and we are blown away by the quality, durability and level of service provided by Paul + Jane at chronolgy. I had a mild concern the hairpin legs wouldn't be sturdy enough, but they are rock solid, as is the bench. Absolutely thrilled with my purchase of this beautiful dining table and couldn't recommend Chronology store more highly. I had a quite a few questions about the table before I went through with the purchase and Paul was very easy to communicate with and very responsive, usually responding within the hour which I was really impressed with.
Paul was also very flexible with regards to allowing me to pick the lacquer colour later on as I was quite indecisive. He also gave me advice on the finish and matching it with our floorboards and I couldn't have been happier with how it turned out.
The table arrived in less than 3 weeks which was great timing. It is a really high quality table and certainly looks like it would have a way higher price tag.
Of all the furniture i have purchased, this is the piece I am most pleased with.
