Description

INDUSTRIAL SCAFFOLD BOARD MONITOR RISER with STEEL TUBE SUPPORTS

Industrial style monitor riser constructed from premium grade, 45mm depth scaffolding boards and mounted onto industrial steel tube supports.

Designed to compliment the desks available here in our store but can be purchased and used as a standalone item.

This listing is for the monster riser only - desk not included.

The wood is sanded to a beautiful finish - smooth to the touch, but still showing plenty of the character and grain in the wood. They are then treated in a Wax Oil which hardens to a water resistant, wipeable finish. The finished product has a stunning rustic appearance, but is a fully functional, sturdy surface, ideal for supporting monitors, speakers and other IT equipment. This item is designed to meet the demands of an office or home-office environment.

(The products we use on all of our items are certified as child safe and food safe, more info available on request).

The steel tube legs are available in raw (galvanised) steel finish, or in 'blackened' finish (as shown in the images). The 'blackened' steel is an almost black/gunmetal finish. Both finishes give a fantastic industrial look. (The legs are detachable).

Every board will have its own quirks and an individual grain, so no two pieces are ever identical. We use only high quality boards and our tables are solid, sturdy and well built. Available in various sizes and with the option of blackened or raw steel framework; select from the menu, or please get in touch for a custom option.

Main images show the Golden finish but also available in Pale, Antique or Rustic finish (please see last image) or other custom options available, just get in touch to discuss.

Dimensions:
Depth: 22cm
Overall height: 15cm (10cm leg height)
Length: Variable, please choose an option.

Or if you require a custom measurement, please get in touch and we'll be happy to accommodate this.

SCAFFOLD BOARDS:
Scaffold boards are not originally designed to be used in furniture making. But we happen to believe they make beautiful tables, desk, bookcases and cabinets. And as the growing demand for this type of furniture increases, it seems like many others believe this too. They can be tricky things to work with but we’re skilled and experienced in crafting them into stunning pieces of industrial style furniture.

Our pieces are designed to be fully functional as shelves, desktops, tables etc with smooth and level surfaces. Due to the repurposed nature of the scaffold boards we use, we do have to allow for slight tolerances of a mm or two, and there can occasionally be minor kinks or bends in areas of the boards, but nothing that would compromise the stability or functionality of the items we produce.

It is normal for them some boards to have minor notches, dents, small cracks and general signs of life. The grain and knots can vary from board to board. All of which add to the character of the overall pieces.

We machine sand the boards to a beautifully smooth finish, and they’re treated with a high quality hard wax oil which brings out all of their stunning, quirky character.

The desktop riser is fantastic! It sits a good 20cm high which is really good for working at home, it gives you a good monitor line of sight, the quality is brilliant! I use an all in one PC, plus extra monitor with no issues at 100cm. Extremely well built and sturdy. The riser exceeds my expectation with the quality of the build. I now have more desk and storage space which is a bonus. A fantastic product that I would highly recommend.

We were initially based in our garage at home, and in the early days the focus was on sourcing and restoring pieces of vintage and retro furniture. We've since moved a couple of times to larger premises, but we continually try to maintain the family feel!
